David G. Williams, was called home to rest in the arms of his Redeemer, Jesus Christ on Wednesday July 31, 2013. David was born August 5, 1920 in Van Wert, OH to the late William and Jessie Williams. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion Post #241 Waynedale. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.S in Business Administration and was employed by Lincoln National Corporation for 33 years. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Dorothy; daughter, June (Mark) Elmshauser, sons, Bruce (Janet) Williams and Kirk (Kathy) Williams; eight grandchildren, Cori, Kevin, Kara, Matt (Becca), Laura (David), Marc (Cheryl), Sarah, and David; three great grandchildren, Tristan, Jacob and Mikayla; and one brother, Don. He was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn.

Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday August 5, 2013 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 917 W. Jefferson Blvd, Ft. Wayne, IN with calling 1 hour prior to service. There is also calling Sunday 4 to 8 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
