David L. Wirges, 60, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2008. He had served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, was a member of the American Legion Post 47 and worked 25 years as an appliance repairman for Sears. He is survived by his wife, Linda Wirges; son David Wirges II; daughter Cherilyn Mooney; granddaughters Kyrsten and Ashley Mooney, Savanna Wirges and grandson Joshua Wirges; parents Frank and Dolores Wirges; and sister Cathy Litterell. Funeral Services will be 10:00am at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008. Visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cancer Services.
