Dean Walker, 74, of Albion, passed away on Dec 25, 2022. He was born in Fort Wayne on August 25, 1948, a son of the late Edward Sr. and Dorothy Walker.
He served in the U.S. Army, was a Vietnam Veteran and went on to be an electrician and member of IBEW Local 305 for 50 years.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and enjoyed scratch off tickets.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Norma Walker; daughter, Melissa (Matt) Baker; son-in-law, Chris Eix; grandchildren, Jessica (Jeremy) McClure, James Lepant Jr., Tori Eix, Braiden Eix, Rebecca Lepant, Doug Lepant, Destiny Harding, Alex Baker and Morgan Baker; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn McClure, Hunter McClure, Lincoln McClure and Kayden Reyna; siblings, Ed (Shirley) Walker, Cheryl (Al) Hamed, Karen (Bart) Dellinger, Kevin (MJ) Walker, Kent (Tammy) Walker, and Laura (Chris) Manes; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Walker. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Christina Eix and brother, Gary Walker.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46808 with calling 1 hour prior.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, December 28th also at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Northern Indiana VA.
Burial will take place in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, IN.
