Delbert Anthony Wiegand, 95, years young, died following a long illness on July 21, 2018.  Delbert was born January 14, 1923 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late, August and Agnes (Koorsen) Wiegand and father of Steven Wiegand who also preceded him in death. Delbert was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne and retired from Tokheim Corporation in 1991 where he worked for 42 years. He was a veteran of WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries received while saving the life of a fellow soldier for which he also received the Silver Star for Gallantry in Action.

Surviving is his daughter, Cheryl (Michael) Wiegand-Ray; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Milton; and a sister, Lucille.

Honoring Delbert's wishes there will be no calling or services.
