Delores I. Kitzmiller, 89, died Thursday, February 25, 2016. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter to the late Francis and Caroline (Federspiel) Chester. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.

She is survived by her sons, Bill (Diane), John and Rick all of Fort Wayne; daughters, Sandra (Mark) Jordan of New Haven and Susan (Kim) Springer of Auburn; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William Kitzmiller, in 2001; five brothers, Morris, Charles, Albert, Donald and Ervin Chester ; and four sisters, Wilma Schaper, Ellen Ullstrom, Violet Mann and Bernice Wright.

Funeral service is 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 29, 2016 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Dale Henderson officiating. Calling is also 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2016. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Parkview Hospice.
