Delores Marie Cler, 79, of Roanoke, Indiana went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2023. Delores was born on July 25, 1944, to the late Bernard and Helen (Schnelker) Bowers in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Phillip Cler; and sister-in-law, Marcia (Cler) Robbins; two children, Daniel (Stephanie Schmitz) Cler of Coatesville, Pennsylvania and Matthew (Laura Mokol) Cler of Carmel, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, including, Naomi Keenean, Caleb (Joy Cleghorn) Cler, Peter (Erica Bezio) Cler, Timothy (Elizbeth Angus) Cler, Charity Cler, Daniel Cler, Joshua Cler, benjamin Cler, Hannah Cler, Madeleine Cler and Hayden Cler; two great-grandchildren, including Titus Cler and Adam Cler and three siblings including Elaine Bowers, Jerry (MaryAnn) Bowers and Jane (Rick) Ervin; and brother-in-law, Terry Skiles.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol (Robert) Tenbarge and Marjorie Skiles.

Delores worked at General Telephone, Management Cleaning and Allied Systems in various office roles until retiring in 2006. Delores was active in the parish at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Roanoke for over forty-five years where she was a Eucharistic Minister and helped with various building and maintenance projects. Delores also liked to garden, can fruits and vegetables and restore and finish furniture. Visitation is at the Covington Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home on Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 pm with a rosary to be held at 5 pm.

A Mass of Christian burial will be on Monday, August 28, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke, IN at 10 am with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Roanoke, IN with a luncheon to follow. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Masses at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
