Dick E. Schweigel of Fort Wayne, died Thursday February 5, 2009 at home. He was a WW II Navy veteran, a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church and an avid golfer. He retired from Rea Magnet Wire. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Schweigel; son, David Schweigel of Death Valley, CA; daughter, Caren Harker of Fort Wayne; a brother, Jack Schweigel of Fort Wayne; sisters, Mary Jane Sporh of Fort Wayne, Ann Marie Minor of Fort Wayne, Ruth Sorg of Wyoming and Phyllis Price of Wyoming; granddaughters, Amanda Handshoe and Jessica Neff; great grandchildren, Ashley and Alexander Carrasco. Funeral service Saturday 1 p.m. with calling two hours prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Memorials to American Heart Association.
