Dino James Maraldo, 85, of Fort Wayne, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Kingston of Dupont. Born March 19, 1928 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Michele and Ines (Palombit) Maraldo. Dino was raised in Cavasso Nuovo, Italy, where he met the love of his life, Neva Franceschina. They were married on June 14, 1951. He was an owner of F and M Tile & Terrazzo, retiring in 1989 and was an accomplished sporting clay shooter.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Phillip) Shirmeyer of Wolcottville; grandchildren, Roslyn (Mike) Smyth of Longwood Florida, Charley (Christina) Shirmeyer and Andrew (Elonda) Shirmeyer both of Fort Wayne; great grandchildren, Joseph and Evelyn Smyth and Stephen and Sienna Shirmeyer; sister, Nelly Bian Rosa of Fort Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Neva Franceshina Maraldo; and brother, Michael Maraldo.

Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2013 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials are to Heartland Hospice or St. Charles Catholic School Tuition Assistance.
