Don Fred Gronau, 84, died Saturday, January 2, 2016. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late, Orville and Clara (Bruick) Gronau. Don retired from the Army after 22 years of service; he served during the Korean War Conflict and Vietnam War. He also worked for the Allen County Schools in ground maintenance.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Song O. (Choe) Gronau; son, Charles Gronau; grandchildren, Kathryn and Benjamin; sister, Duann Trevey; nieces, Susan Baral and Susan Stalf.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Stalf.

Funeral Service is 1 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2016 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens with military honors.
