Don C. "Squeeze" Stanley, Sr., 56 went home to his Lord, Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from a work related injury over 10 years ago. Don also known as "Superman" given only a month to live; he has shown us not to give up but to fight hard and be courageous in your battle for life; his love and dedication to his family was always felt.

He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend of 20 years, Sarah; children, Don Jr., Taylah and T.J.; parents, Donald and Eva Stanley; uncle and aunt Pastors Clarence and Margie Eldridge; sister, Bonnie; parents in law, Dave and Tracy Sherrill; sister in law, Madison Sherrill; brother in law, Joseph Young; several extended family members.

He was preceded in death by mother in law, Sally Young; and a brother in law, Lucas Sherrill.

Come as you are a Celebration of Dons'' life is 1-4 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road. Preferred memorials are to the family. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Shelene Ruggio, Dr. Swapna Joseph and the staff at Vibra for the care and compassion given to not only Don, but the whole family.
