Donald D. Hampshire Sr., 83, went to his final resting place, Wednesday, September 17, 2014. He was born October 8, 1930 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Waldo and Mary Hampshire. Don retired after 32 years as a truck driver for ANR (Associated Truck Lines). He was Past Commander of American Legion post 499.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Helen Hampshire, children, Don (Tina) Hampshire Jr, Gary Hampshire, Sandy (Chuck) Johnson, Jeff Eichel, brother, John (Mary) Hampshire, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Wallace, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

Funeral Service is Noon, Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Northridge Baptist Church, 1300 East Cook Road, Fort Wayne. Calling is 11-1 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2014 at the church. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
