Donald David Rondot, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2011. Born here in Fort Wayne, to the late Alfred and Walburg Rondot. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a lifetime member of St. Peters Catholic Church. He retired from International Harvester in 1981 after 30 years of service. Donald was an active bicyclist, Bears fan, and enjoyed the St. Francis football games. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. We love and will miss you dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lucille; son and daughter in law, Steven and Donna Rondot of Fort Wayne; daughters and sons in law, Debra and Pat McBride of Fort Wayne and Rita and Carl Jensen of Huntertown; brothers and sister in law, Dan and Rosan Rondot of Fort Wayne and Tom Rondot of New Haven; sisters, Violet Reising of Indianapolis and Jenny Nagel of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Jeffrey, Kathryn, Bryan, Madsion, Carla, and Craig; and five great grandchildren, Syan, Cerenity, Sapphyre, Shelby and Griffin. He was preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters.
Memorial Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2-4 & 6-8 Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in the St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Arcola. Memorials are to St. Mary''s Soup Kitchen or Alzheimer''s Association.
