Donald B. Rust, 74, died on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Donald was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee, the son of the late Connell "Bruce" Rust and Mattie "Loiuse" Whitman. He retired from the Allen County Public Library, after 45 years of service, in 2006. He was an avid golfer, loved spending time with his family and his winters in Naples, Fla.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Rosemary "Rosie" (Walsh) Rust of Fort Wayne; children, Donald "Blake" Rust of Auburn, Tim (Linda) Neuhaus of Charleston, South Carolina, Greg (Beth) Neuhaus of Kendallville, Matt (LaDonna) Neuhaus Baltimore, Maryland, Tina (David) Turnbow of Churubusco, Melisa (Bill) Hartman of Fort Wayne, Jana (John) Bloom of Fort Wayne, Kerrie (Jay) Lepper of Columbus, Kris (Dave) Fink of Columbus and Jennifer (Joel) Nesler of Oro Valley, Arizona ; brothers, Jim Rust, Rusty (Cathy) Rust, Larry (Brenda) Rust and David (Marie) Rust; sister, Mary Jernigan; 22 grandchildren; and 6 great grand children.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 22 years, Virginia "Naomi" (Hughes) Rust, in 1981; sister in law, Pat Rust; and best friend and brother in law, Sewell Jernigan.

Funeral Service is 5 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling three hours prior. Preferred memorials will be to the family c/o Rosemary Rust.
