Donna Lou (Dressler) Braun, 77, went into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ early December 25, 2018 on Christmas morning.  She was born July 20, 1941.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She went to Trinity Lutheran School on St. Mary's Ave and graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School.  She took classes at Purdue University in preparation for starting a nursery school at St. Michael Lutheran Church on Getz Road.  She taught at the nursery school for a few years and then served the Emmanuel-St. Michael Lutheran School in their cafeteria.  She is remembered for her giving and joyful spirit and for the many pies, cakes and cookies given to family, friends and church groups.   She was active at St. Michael in worship, Bible study and service in the Altar Guild.

She is survived by her husband, Ted; daughter, Laura (Robert) Strouts of Fort Wayne; son, Carl (Jean) of Mercer, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Nicole and Jamie Strouts of Fort Wayne; brother, Richard (Marge) Dressler; and sister in law, Elizabeth Dressler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Hilda Dressler; two brothers, Carl and Ralph Dressler; and a sister, Darlene Dressler.

Funeral Service is 11 a.m., Saturday December 29, 2018 at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2131 Getz Road, with calling one hour prior. Officiating will be Pastor Reed Lessing.  Calling is also 2-5 p.m. & 6-8 Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. Michael Lutheran Church.  She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.  Preferred memorials to St. Michael Altar Guild.
