Doris (Hoffman) Heiniger Christman, 86, of Fort Wayne, died on Friday, January 16, 2015, with her family by her side. Born in Huntington, she was the daughter, of the late, Clifford and Olive (Frantz) Hoffman. She not only was a graduate of Central High School, she was the prom queen of 1946. Doris hosted many Bee Line fashion parties along with her late daughter, Vicki, before she became a real estate agent working with Century 21 for many years. She has always been a member of the American Legion Post 82 along with her children. Doris was a member at Forest Park UMC and happily worked in the polling booths for many years.

She is survived by her children, Libby (Rick) Boerger of Delphos, Ohio, Beverly (Brian) Jardine, Steve, Craig (Karen), Larry (Kathi) Christman all of Fort Wayne, Steve and Larry Heiniger and Jennifer Gilliam; 22 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, the twinkles of her eyes.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert "Curly" Christman, in 1976; daughter, Vicki Hughes Grove, in 2012; great grand son, Daniel; brothers, Dee and Max Hoffman; and a sister, Virginia Decker.

Funeral Service is 11 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2015 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 5-8 p.m., Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
