Doris May Kopecky, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Maybelle Koch. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and was also active in the Three Five Club. She enjoyed playing bridge and socializing with many local groups. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and relaxing at the lake.
She is survived by sons and daughters in law Frank and Cris Kopecky and Scott and Marilyn Kopecky both of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Jonathan, Kaylin and Bradley. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Frank D. Kopecky in Dec. 2010.
Service is Noon Monday, April 18, 2011 at Salem United Church of Christ, 2401 Lake Avenue, with calling two hours prior to service. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials are to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home or the Church.
