Obituary

Doris (Gibson) Vaughan of Fort Wayne, formerly of Indianapolis, died January 6, 2021. Born in Spencer IN on Oct. 7, 1922, she and her late husband Charles had moved to Ft. Wayne to be nearer family. Doris was an award-winning watercolor artist, skilled seamstress, and dedicated environmentalist. Her former memberships included the Southern Club of Indianapolis, Likely Literary Club in Mooresville, Nature Conservancy, Acres Land Trust, and several historical societies including the Society of Indiana Pioneers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles B. Vaughan in 2007. Survivors are sons Evan (Joan) of Ft. Wayne, Mark (Paula) of Evanston, IL, four grandchildren, Ian (Krista) and Alexander, Julia (Timo) and Andrew, (Beth), and three great grandchildren. Arrangements by Covington Memorial Gardens, Ft. Wayne.
