Dorothy Maxine (Boley) Krotke, 95, was called home by our Lord on July 3, 2023. Dorothy was raised in Ft. Wayne, IN and employed at International Harvester (IH) (Navistar). In 1949 she married John Krotke at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fort. Wayne. They lived in Homewood, IL and she worked for 30 years at IH world headquarters as an executive secretary. Dorothy was a member of St. Pauls' Lutheran Church in Chicago Heights, IL where she was active in the altar guild and church choir. She loved to cook, try new recipes and entertain guests. She also loved gardening and often said getting her fingers in the dirt made her feel closer to God. Three times she received awards from Homewood Village's annual beautification contest. She was delightfully warm and elegant and made people smile. She is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins to cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Sophia (Parker) Boley; husband, John William Krotke; and their son, Jordan Thomas Krotke. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am, on July 14, 2023  at Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 8404 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804.
