Dorothy J. Monnier, 91, died Wednesday January 27, 2016. She was born July 23, 1924 in Ft. Wayne to the late John and Della Monnier-Pease. Dorothy retired from ITT as an inspector after 36 years service. She was a member of Robinson Chapel United Methodist Church.

Surviving are foster sisters: Norma Niedermeyer, Mary Cook, Joyce Pease, Linda (Tom) Cochran, Bonnie (Mel) Royal, foster brother Charles (Pat) Niedermeyer, honorary grandchildren, Mike, Matt, and Marc Cochran along with several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by a brother Robert Monnier, sisters, Helen Pease, Ruth Nern and foster sister Betty Niedermeyer and foster brother Richard Niedermeyer.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday February 1, 2016 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with viewing 1 hour prior to service. There is also viewing Sunday January 31, from 4 until 6 p.m. Preferred memorial are to Robinson Chapel Church.
