Douglas Allan Barclay, 62, of Fort Wayne, died unexpectedly on December 31, 2013 at home. The Fort Wayne native was born to the late Ivan and Eleanor Barclay. He was a 1969 graduate of North Side High and then received his Bachelors in Computer science from Depaw University. He was a member of the Young Republicans and worked on Richard Nixon''s successful campaign. He worked at New York Property and Casualty Insurance Company.

He is survived by his brother, Phil (Mary) Barclay; niece, Morgan Barclay; and great nephew, Bennett Barclay all of Denver, Colorado.

Doug''s family welcomes you to a celebration of his life at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Plymouth Congregational Church, 501 West Berry Street. Following the service will be a reception at the church. Preferred memorials are to S.P.C.A., 4914 Hanna Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46806, in honor of his cat, Buffy.
