Douglas Paul Bird , "Doug" , went to be home with the Lord on August 16, 2017 He was 56 years old. He was born on July 13, 1961 in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Dale and Norma Bird.

His wife Leslie, daughters, Shaka, Andrea and Dougs sister Karen (Jeffrey) Palmer, and brothers Lynn (Christina) Bird and Jerry (Renee) Bird have fond memories of Doug. Doug was preceded in death by a brother.

Doug loved the Lord and his passion was to share the gospel message with as many people as he could. He would say, "That's my job man!"
He is missed but we know we will see him in eternity.
His favorite bible verse was Jeremiah 33:3. Call unto me and I will answer you and I will tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday August 24, 2017 at Highland Gospel Church 3800 N. Clinton, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with calling 1 hour prior to service. Pastor Nate Schumacher will officiate.
