Doyle M. Allen, 78, died Sunday June 24, 2012 at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. Born November 17, 1933 in Fort Wayne to the late George and Charlotte Allen, he worked for Deister Concentrator for 46 years as a machine operator. Surviving is his wife, Nancy A. Allen, children, Danny (Julie) Allen, Kathy (Robert) Gray, Gregory Allen, Timothy (Hang) Allen, Lisa (Mark) Peckinpaugh, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, brother, Edwin Allen, a sister, Gloria Sparks preceded in death. Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 30, 2012 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There is also calling Friday 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Provena Sacred Heart Home Alzheimer Unit.
