Dwight R. Swanson, 58, of Greenwood, passed away on August 28, 2026.

Dwight was born in Cleveland, Ohio, raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and made Indianapolis his home for more than 25 years.

Dwight built a long career in eyewear sales with Marchon Eyewear. He loved spending time with his children, family, and friends and especially enjoyed hiking, playing tennis, and cooking and grilling for those he loved.

Dwight is survived by his wife, Kristi; daughter, Sophie; son, Luke; stepdaughters, Emma and Bella; mother, Diane Ostrom; father, Dave (Ruth) Swanson; brothers, Dave (Gina), Doug, Deron (Michelle), and Darrell (Mandy) Swanson; sisters, Dawn (Jerry) Campbell and Darlene (Tim) Mizzell; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Blake.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 2:00-5:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804.

Dwight will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
