Earl S. York, 94, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at home in Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Middlesboro, KY, Earl was a son of the late George and Delia (Branson) York. He married Betty Taylor on May 23, 1952, and she survives. Earl worked for Peter Eckrich for 33 years. He enjoyed taking care of his lawn and watching NASCAR. Surviving are his children, Bill (Kathryn Bolak) York, Anita Hunt, Jackie (Harvey) Short, Marilyn Imel, Roger (Jackie) York and Dennis York; sisters, Wanda McCue and Mary Lee Zell; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Earl was also preceded in death by grandson, Brian Imel; great-great granddaughter, London Mae York; and his brothers and sisters. Funeral service 1:00pm, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation 4:00pm - 8:00pm, Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home.
