Edgar Miles Zimmerman Jr., 81, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018.  He was born July 4, 1937 in Decatur, Indiana to the late Edgar, Sr. and H. Nina Zimmerman.  Edgar retired from Gasoline Equipment Service Co. in 2014 after 30 years of service.  He served in the United States Navy aboard the Destroyer Escort U.S.S. Beale.  His passion was bowling, golf, and shuffle board.

Surviving is his wife, Karen Zimmerman; daughters, Amy (Nick) Huntley, Kerry (Thomas) Vonderau and Sarah (Oliver) Fitzwater; grandchildren, Nicole, Nicholas, Cameron Huntley, Tyler, Kyle Vonderau, and Everett, Katy Fitzwater; and a brother, Ronald (Arlene) Zimmerman.

Edgar was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Onalee Taylor.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with viewing 2 hours prior to service.  Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
