Edna H. Given, 86, died Wednesday September 2, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 3, 1929 in New Bedford, MA to the late Manuel and Amelia Ribeiro. Edna was a greeter at the Illinois Rd Meijers for 20 years. Edna was a devoted I.U. Basketball fan. Her family requests all friends to wear your favorite college team colors to the funeral and viewing.

Surviving are her children, Steven Crooks, David Crooks, Dennis (Jeanne) Crooks, sister, Theresa Cassidy, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Chester Given and a daughter, Cathy Crooks and a brother Edwin C. Ribeiro.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday September 5, 2015 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There will also be calling Friday 2-4 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. www.covingtonmemorial.com
