Edna Irene Weikel, 95, of Yoder passed peacefully Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Ossian Health Care.   Born in Brookville, Indiana she was a daughter to the late, Jacob and Fern (Brake) Gephart.  Edna retired after 30 years of service from Fort Wayne Community School District as a bus driver. She was a member of St. Aloysius Church.

Edna is survived by her son, Terry (Sandy) Weikel; daughter, Linda (Marty) Farren; 7 grandchildren, Lori (Troy) Mower, Rhonda (Jeff) Hoger, Troy (Ann) Herron, Randy (Bobbie) Weikel, Craig Thiele, Kevin (Sarah) Thiele and Nicole (Phil) Grove; 15 great grandchildren, Tyler Mower, Kayleigh (Taylor) Allred, Josh (Rya) Weikel, Mariah (Kyle) Bliss, Shawn (Danielle) Weikel, Garrett Hoger, Tiffany (Brookes) Krouse, Blake Herron, Kaitlyn Weikel, Ava Grove, Maya Grove, Chase Grove, Madelyn Clark, Carson Thiele and Luke Thiele; and three great great grandchildren, Myles Krouse, Denver Weikel and Miles Allred.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Denver E. Weikel, in April of 2004; daughters, DeAnna Gephart and LaDonna Herron; brother, William Gephart; sisters, Melberta Grace, Maxine Freiburger, Jo Ann Ansberry and Geraldine Gephart.

Private family services are being held at Covington Funeral Home.  Friends and family may visit 11-1 Thursday, June 25, 2020. She will laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
