EDWARD W. BUECHNER, 83, of Sarasota, Florida, died on Friday, May 6, 2011. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Ed was a Fort Wayne Firefighter and retired after 29 years of service. He was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Phyllis Buechner; daughter, Cynthia (Tom) Feiertag of Jackson, Wisconsin; son, John (Naomi) Buechner of Toms River, New Jersey; sisters, Lois Linker of Fort Wayne and Jeanette Levihne of Muncie; eight grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Memorial service is 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at Covington Memorial Gardens. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
