Edwin Charles Goshert, 92, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21. He was born on October 12, 1929, in Fort Wayne to the late Harold L. and F. Deane (Leiter) Goshert.

After graduating from Central High School, Ed joined the Navy Seabees. He married his love, Nila (Meyer) Goshert on November 16, 1952, and together they raised two boys. Ed worked as a finish carpenter his whole life, culminating in the building of their home on Lake of the Woods near Hudson, Indiana with the assistance of many family members and friends. He spent his retirement years there with Nila, enjoying boating, fishing, and hunting. Ed, or affectionately known as 'Dad' by many, loved his family and friends dearly and he with his infectious smile will be missed by all.

Ed will be forever remembered by his wife, Nila; sons, Mike (Chris) and Rob (Wendy) Goshert; grandchildren, Kyle (Kristy), Scott (Rachel), KC, and Brian (Deirdre); and great grandchildren, Hayden, Layla, William, Eddie, Keagan, Ella and James, in addition to several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his brothers, Norman and Kenneth.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 2:00pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804, with a reception to follow, also at Covington Memorial.
