Elizabeth J. (Betty) Watson of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at home, with family, under hospice care. She was born in Detroit, MI and was the daughter of the late Rev. Raymond E. Williams and Martha L. Williams. Elizabeth was the loving wife of Frederick E. Watson Sr. for 63 years. She graduated from Cass Tech High School in Detroit, Michigan, and Ivy Tech Community College. She had a successful career as a homemaker and part-time employee of Kelly Services Company. She volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital, Parkview Hospital, and Lutheran Hospital. Elizabeth is a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She is survived by her husband, Frederick Sr.; daughter, Althea D. Watson; son, Frederick E. Watson Jr. (Lori); granddaughters, Amber D. Watson and Madison J. Watson-Fine (Sawyer); great-grandson, Lincoln Fine; brother, Donald Williams of Grand Rapids, MI; and sister, Martha A. Lynem of N. Miami, FL. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her daughter, Elise F. Watson; parents; and brothers, Thomas E. Williams, Lenzie Williams, and Herbert Williams. Private family service.
