Elizabeth O'Neil (Perry) Wisdom, known as Neet to family and friends, passed away on April 25, 2023. She was born on February 8, 1948, a daughter of the late Albert and Annie Perry, in Berwind, West Virginia.
She moved to Fort Wayne in 1956. She dedicated her life to Christ in 1982 at Southern Heights Baptist Church and continued to be a devoted Christian. She married the late James Harding Wisdom, known to family and friends at Hardy on September 7, 1982.
She retired from the City of Fort Wayne after 25 years of service. In her spare time she enjoyed playing board games, cards, puzzles, listening to music, and dancing for fun. Having fun with her family and friends and sharing her contagious laughter is how she will be remembered.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, DeMetra (Dorall) Johnson, Ericia Wisdom; grandchildren, Porshia Perry, Johanna and Darius Thomas, Cicara, Simone and Simule Moore Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jalen Wiggins, Darius "DJ" Washington, Nailah Ross, Nasire and JaVyn Thomas, Jocelyn Hill, Roman Moore. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her four siblings, Mary J. Worth, John A. Perry, Callie Wilson and Maggie Perry-Blackmon.
A special thank you to the staff at DaVita Dialysis and the Kidney Foundation, whom Neet was especially grateful for. Though the three year struggle of dialysis wasn't something pleasant, she enjoyed the enduring friendships she made while spending time there.
