Ella Mae Mowery, 76, of Roanoke, died on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Markle Health & Rehab. Born in Hazard, Kentucky, to the late Alex and Millie (Caudill) Creech. She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Fort Wayne and had worked at Economy Screw Machine.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie S. Freeman and Laurie A. Ballora; son, Garry Mowery; brothers, Alex, Jr., Lanie and Joseph Creech; sisters, Helen McGinnis, Joan Martz and Geraldine Myers; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Mowery, in July of 1999 and a sister, Merle Sparks.
Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
