Erma Lou Furniss, 83, of Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at St. Anne Home. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter to the late Granville LeRoy and Cora Adeline (Henry) McAbee. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, friend and neighbor. She was loved and will be missed.
She is survived by her three sons, Robert (Ranelle) of Port St. Lucia, Florida, Richard (Dian) of Fort Wayne and Randolph (Tami) of Lagrange; two daughters, Dianna (Dan) Auer of Albion and Cynthia (Kevin) Pappert of New Haven; sister, Amy Dull of Fort Wayne eleven grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Earl F. Furniss, in August of 2009; six brothers, Berlin, Frances, Harold, LeRoy, Ross and Ronald and one sister, Glenna Koch.
Funeral Service is 4 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2011 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, with calling one hour prior. Calling is 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial are to the St. Anne Home or Allen County Cancer Society
