Ernest R. Scott, 87, of Fort Wayne, died Monday Feb. 18, 2008 at Coventry Meadows. Born Feb 3, 1921 in Fort Wayne, he was a WWII Marine Corp veteran and was a truck driver for Kroger. He is survived by daughters, Gayle Scott, and Carla Scott both of Reno, Nevada; sons, Kevin Scott, and Elwyn Scott both of Fort Wayne; brothers, Arthur Scott of Wolcottville, and Robert Scott of Fort Wayne; sisters, Ruth Reed of Fort Wayne, Louise Bridges of Angola, and Mary Hardy of Reading, MI; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Earl, Carl, & Dale Scott. Funeral service Thursday 2 p.m. with calling one hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Heartland Hospice.
