Esther M. Feichter Belfast, Maine-Esther Marguerite (Holse) Feichter, 89, passed away peacefully September 29, 2007 at Harbor Hill nursing facility. She was born in Centerville, South Dakota, January 13, 1918, the daughter of Rudolf and Oline (Borring) Holse.
Esther lived most of her life in Indiana before moving to Northport, Maine to make her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Peg and Joe Moser. Esther was a veteran of WWII and an accountant and homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed her close knit family, her church, gardening, crafts, and her Danish heritage.
Esther was predeceased by her husband LeVerne Kenneth Feichter in December 2000. She is survived by her daughter, The Rev. Peg Moser and her husband Joseph Moser Sr., of Northport, her son, Larry Kenneth Feichter of New Haven, Indiana, two brothers, Robert Holse of Auburn, Indiana and Jack Holse of Rochester, Indiana, two grandsons, Jody Moser of Evanston, Illinois and Joel Moser of Portland, Maine, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
A committal service will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana, with Esther''s daughter The Rev. Peg Moser and grandson, The Rev. Jody Moser, presiding. Following the interment a gathering will be held 2-5 P.M. at the Covington Memorial Reception Center. In keeping with Esther''s love for her church, memorial gifts in her memory may be made to further Christian Education, C/O the Belfast United Methodist Church, 23 Mill Lane, Belfast, Maine 04915.
