Obituary

Ethel Louise Sklenar, 96, passed Sunday June 21, 2020 at home.  Born in Fort Wayne she was a daughter, to the late George Curtis Koomler and Gertrude (Krumm) Koomler.  She was a homemaker for her family and was also a chef at the Masonic Temple.  Ethel was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and a member of the Order of the Easter Star being a matron 5 times.  She loved dancing, music, flowers and her family.

Ethel is survived by children, Frank (Margaret) Sklenar, Edwin (Kay) Sklenar, Ida Feldheiser and Irene (Robert) Sorg; son in law, Larry Botz; 10 grandchildren, Heather (Ken) Johns, Craig Sklenar, Eric (Heather) Sorg, Lora (Michael) Alexander, Justin (Allisa) Sklenar, Steven Sklenar, Rochelle (Tyson) Keyes, Jason (Crystal) Feldheiser, Amy (Albert) Gayol and Sara (Brad) Warren; and 15 great grandchildren, Noah, Natalie, Urban, Warren, Adaleah, Brynna, Mackenzie, Addi, Alexia, Destany, Mara, Morgan, Eva, Isabella and Victoria.

Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Sklenar, on July 5, 1989; daughter, Antonia Botz; brother, George Koomler; sister, Agnes Fisher.

Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior.  Officiating will be Chaplain Bob. Calling is also 5-8 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2020, with an Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.

Preferred memorials are to Waynedale Masonic Lodge and Hospice Home.
