Eva Mae Widner, 86, Ft. Wayne, passes away on Saturday August 27, 2011 at Village Oaks Assisted Living. Born July 4, 1925 in Auburn, Indian to the late Ernest and Tillie Bieberich, Eva retired from Seyfert''s Potato Chips after 15 years of service, but most importantly, she was a wonderful homemaker for her family. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. She could always be found with a smile on her face. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and dogs.
Surviving are daughters, Carolyn Painter and Joyce Widner-Gottschalk both of Ft. Wayne, IN, granddaughters, Colleen Painter and Corene (Barry) Painter-Terry.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Widner in 1968 and son-in-law, Ivan Painter.
Services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. Eva will be laid to rest in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church, Heartland Home Health and Hospice or Alzheimer''s Association.
