Evelyn (Evie) Reid Patton, 95, went to be with her Lord Sunday November 11, 2012. she passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family and her beloved cat, Molly.

She was born May 15, 1917 in Beaver County, PA to the late William and Berenice (DewRose) Patton; she was one of eight children.

Evelyn made Chicago Heights her home for most of her life and retired as an accountant from James Walker Co. She lived with her niece in Fort Wayne the last four years. She had a great love for her family, Chicago sports teams and animals. She was an avid collector of Royal Daulton Toby jugs.

Surviving are her nieces, Trish (Steve) Dailey, Kimberly (Joseph) Vogel and nephew, Doyal McLemore. A memorial service will be held Saturday November 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials to Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery, Flat Rock, IL.
