Evelyn M. Nahrwold, 80, of Fort Wayne, died Friday December 8, 2006 at Hospice Home. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Born March 16, 1926 in Fort Wayne, she retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools Food Service Department at Northrop High School and she had also worked at Meijer. She is survived by three sons, Victor Jr. Phil, and Steve Nahrwold all of Fort Wayne; three daughters, Barbara Freeland and Darlene Grove both of Fort Wayne and Tammy Garrison of Huntertown; a brother, Calvin Bishop of Hot Springs, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor Nahrwold Sr. Services 11 a.m. Thursday with calling one hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Calling also Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to American Cancer Society or Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home.
