Ferdinand " Fred" N. Cataldi 84, of South Amboy, NJ passed away on Wednesday July 27, 2016 at his home.

Born and raised in New Brunswick, NJ, Fred moved to Indiana in 1997 moving back to New Jersey in 2006.

Fred was a past commander of the VFW post 7508, he served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, receiving a purple heart. He worked for S&H for 30 years retiring in 1995. Fred will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Fred was predeceased by his loving wife, of 52 years, Lillian in 2005.

Surviving are he two daughters, Lydia Jean Cataldi and Karen (husband Tony) Charmello; three step sons, Guy (wife Betty) Campagna, Joe Campagna, and Robert (wife Luann) Campagna; a sister, Catherine Emerson; thirteen grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service is 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covignton Road, with calling two hours prior. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
