Florence Hostetler, 88, went to be with the Lord and her loving husband on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Florence worked for years in retail at Stillmans in South Gate Plaza, volunteered at the Allen County Election board, and was a tutor at Waynedale Elementary School. She enjoyed all types of music as well as gardening, but most of all, she loved being a home maker for her husband of 51 years and their three children. She was a long time member of Waynedale United Methodist Church where she was active as a UMYF leader.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband Orva J. Hostetler Jr., parents John and Eunice Meyer of Lansing, Michigan, brothers William Warren Meyer and Jay Darrell Meyer, and a sister Evangeline Lamberts. She has one living sister Anna Stephens (Doug) of Lansing, Michigan.

Florence is also survived by her three children: Sandra K. Jenkins (Dan) Angola, Indiana, John O. Hostetler (Ginger), Aurora, Colorado, and Michael A. Hostetler (Denise) of Fort Wayne. Florence has eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 16, 2013 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There will also be calling Friday November 15, 2013 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorial are to Waynedale United Methodist Church.
