Frances C. Blust, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away on September 9, 2026, at home with family by her side. She was born in Fort Wayne on August 14, 1939, to Edward and Esther Pichon. She married John Blust in May of 1959, and he survives.

Frances graduated from Central Catholic High School. She would go to work for Lincoln Life and have a long and successful career with them, retiring after 42 years. She enjoyed watching auto races, especially following her favorite drivers, Tony Stewart and Kyle Larson. She enjoyed doing ceramics for many years and loved reading books, particularly those by Danielle Steel. Frances also enjoyed traveling to Florida and spent 30 years camping at Turkey Lake. She loved dogs, especially her son’s dog, Tico.

Surviving is her husband, John; son, David Blust; and sister, Julia (John) Perry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tom and Paul Pichon; and sisters, MaryAnn Snyder, Margaret Robbins, and infant Alice Pichon.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Covington Memorial Gardens.
