Schrumpf, Frances "Bobbie" Blackwell King, 93, passed away on August 31, 2012 in Fort Wayne. She was the daughter of the late J.D. and Dora Blackwell, and was born in Bedford, Indiana. In 1939, she married her childhood sweetheart the late Paul Curtis King. They resided in Indianapolis and Hollywood, Florida enjoying almost 50 years of marriage until his death in 1988. In 1992, she married William Schrumpf. They were active members of Horizons of Faith Methodist Church and resided in Miami, FL. She enjoyed her church circle, club work with the Eastern Star and the Elks "Does" where she achieved perfect attendance twice and served as president for two terms. She loved to socialize with friends and travel. One of her favorite pastimes was spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, William F.Schrumpf, her children; son, Emil "Tony" (Diane) King of Fort Wayne, daughter, Patti "King" (Howard Johnson) DiEgidio of Stuart, Florida; daughter-in-law, Cheryl King of Indianapolis, IN and three grandchildren, Tony Jr., Michael, and Jennifer King. She is preceded in death by her five siblings, Norval, Willard, Alvi Earl, Blackwell Esta Elsbury, and Vestal Schultz, and her late husband, Paul C. King in 1988 and sadly her son, Curtis D. King in 2011. Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday September 5, 2012 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 2 hours prior to service. She will be laid to rest at Cresthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Bedford, IN. In lieu of flowers memorials to Visiting Nurse and Hospice.
