F. Emerson "Shorty" Zent Sr. died Friday, June 3, 2011 at his home. Born September 26, 1935 in Ft. Wayne to the late Emerson and Hilda Zent. Shorty worked at Harvester 9 years and later for the City of Ft. Wayne Filtration Plant for 5 years. Surviving are his wife, Marlene Zent, Corunna, IN, sons, Emerson (Debb) Zent Jr., Waterloo, IN, Billy Joe (Serina) Zent, Corunna, IN, Scott Alan (Larkin) Zent, Corunna, IN, daughters, Lorene (Bill) Chadwell, Roanoke, IN, Dee (Shane) Keister, Huntington, IN, 21, grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a sister. He was preceded in death by 1 grandchild and 1 sister. Services are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service.
