Frederick Q. Noll, Sr., 89 of Fort Wayne, died, Wednesday, November 10, 2010. He was US Coast Guard Veteran and a retired officer of the U.S. Merchant Marines. He was the co-owner with his wife of Rainbow Furniture and C & H Liquors in Waynedale. Later in his retired years he worked at D.O. McComb and Covington Memorial Funeral Home. He was a 32 degree Mason, a life member of the Elks Lodge and St. Joe Athletic Club, and was a Kentucky Colonel. Also Lodge 189 F & AM of Columbia City, Scottish Rite, Mizpah Shrine and Racing Shriners. He is survived by his sons, Frederick Q. (Martha) Noll Jr. of Indianapolis, Paul "Steven" (Nancy) Noll; daughter, Paula Sue (Tim) Witzigreuter, both of Fort Wayne; sisters, Doris Sheets and Betty Holtzburg; half-sister, Dorothea Landt; half-brothers, Carol, Roy Clifford, Melvin and Jim Holein; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Eula E. Noll, in 2004. Service is 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, 260-432-2508, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 3 - 7 p.m. There will be a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. He will be entombed at Greenlawn Memorial Park and will have military honors.
