Frederick J. "Smitty" Smith, 79, went to be with his Lord Friday May 31, 2013. Born August 18, 1933 in Ft. Wayne, IN to the late Nile and Thelma (O''Connor) Smith Sr. Smitty was an independent truck driver for 43 years. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Barb (Klee) Smith, daughter, Nancy Lightfoot, son, James (Kendra) Smith, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter, sister, Mary Braun, Irene "Pinkie" (Dick) Louden. He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, 1 son, 3 grandchildren and 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. June 9, 2013 at the First Assembly of God Church 1400 W. Washington Ctr. Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. Pastor Ron Hawkins officiating. Private burial will occur at a later date.
