Gary Lee English, 63, died on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at home. Gary graduated from Concordia Lutheran School. He retired after 35 years of service as an engineer from Norfolk Southern Rail Road.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Lorraine; sons, Eric English and Troy Johnston; mother, Mary English; brothers, Terry, Barry and Larry; grandchildren, Morgan, Anthony, Harley and Cain; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald English, in 1992.

Funeral Service is 1 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Diabetes Association or League for the Blind and Disabled.

The family would like to send a special thanks to William Ihssen, Gary''s former wrestling coach and mentor, for taking him to meetings at the League for the Blind and their walks together; his best friend, Kent Adsit; and family friend, Margaret Eveland.
