Gary "Bugsy" Martin Silvers, 71, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at his home in LaGrange, Indiana. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Lester and Betty (Sunday) Silvers. He was a graduate of South Side High School. Gary married Ann Voigt on March 13, 1971 and she survives. He worked for the Allen County Highway Department for 20 years, retiring in 2016. Retiring to Big Turkey Lake, Gary enjoyed playing cornhole, horseshoes, golf and bowling. Surviving are his children, Charles (Laura) Silvers and Dawn (Brandon) Cripe; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Alvin (Cheryl), Allen (MaryAnn), Keith, and Richard "Dick" (Cindy); and sister, Corinne Kochinka. Funeral service will be at 10:30am, Monday, November 21, 2022 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Visitation from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
