Gary R. Stumpf, 65, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully with his wife, Shirley, by his side the early morning of November 10.  He was born October 24, 1956 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Robert and Gladys (Keicher) Stumpf.

During his last year of high school, Gary moved to Fort Wayne in 1975 where he met and married Shirley (Sims) in April of 1977.  He found employment at International Paper where he spent the next 43 years.  Gary was also a member of the United Steel Workers Union Local 1055.  In his spare time, he enjoyed deer hunting and traveled extensively with Shirley, his favorite place to visit was the Smoky Mountains. Gary loved to cook, and spoiled Shirley with his wonderful dishes.  The only thing that rivaled his die hard love for the Pittsburgh Steelers was the love he had for his family, most recently welcoming his newest great granddaughter, Kinsley.  He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; daughter, Amie (Kevin) Hicks; grandchildren, Tori, Daniel, and Noah; great grandchildren, Raylynn and Kinsley; siblings, Patricia Hassler, Robert Stumpf; and Jennifer (Rick) Giovannelli; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Dave Riley; brother-in-law, Jack Hassler; and sister-in-law, Judy Stumpf.
