George "Arden" Meeks, 83, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday June 30, 2007. Born Jan 31, 1924 in Huntington, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII as a rear tail-gunner on the B-29. He was a member of Teamsters Local 414 and was a Truck Driver for Transport Motor Express and Howard Martin before his retirement. He is survived by family, Ruth Meeks, sons, Dennis, David, and Daniel Meeks; a daughter, Pam Kaluza; grandchildren, Christopher, Jordan, Jason, and Kristan; great grandson, Arden; sister, Janice Berry; brother, Don Meeks. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Laycock. Funeral Service Tuesday 2 p.m. with calling two hours prior to service at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
